This list is for residential, PHP, IOP, psychiatric and group practice programs. If you are a solo therapist, your search is different. Skip to the note for solo practices.
Disclosure: RehabAdmit publishes this list, and RehabAdmit is on it. Every fact about another agency comes from that agency's own website or from a named policy page, checked October 22, 2026, with a link. Where an agency does not publish something, the table says so. The order of the list is not a ranking.
How did we pick these mental health SEO agencies?
Each agency on this page had to pass four checks:
- It says on its own site that it serves mental health programs or facilities. A general healthcare page was not enough.
- It sells SEO itself. We left out directories, software tools and billing services.
- It publishes something you can check: prices, terms, or a mental health case result.
- It fits programs, not only solo practices.
We dropped Focus Digital. It sells SEO and publishes agency lists, but the pages we checked did not say it serves mental health, and its mental health list URL returned a 404 error on October 22, 2026.
How do the best mental health SEO agencies compare?

Every competitor cell comes from that agency's own site, linked in the profiles below and in Sources.
What makes SEO for a mental health program different?
Three things set program SEO apart from rehab SEO and from therapist SEO.
Searches start with the condition. Behavioral Health Partners puts it this way: "The searches are organized by condition first and level of care second" (source). A program needs pages for depression, anxiety, trauma or OCD treatment, and pages for each level of care it runs.
Local reach matters more. Elev8 says mental health patients are far less likely than SUD patients to travel out of state, so local visibility carries more weight (source). That puts your Google Business Profile near the top of the list. Google's guidelines say that when several public-facing practitioners work at one location, "The organization should create a Business Profile for this location, separate from that of the practitioner" (source).
Health content gets a higher bar. Google says its systems give even more weight to content with strong E-E-A-T on topics that could affect people's health, and that such content "must be highly accurate and consistent with established expert consensus" (source). Clinical review and named authors are part of the job.
Two compliance lines touch SEO too. LegitScript's checklist says locations that "only offer mental health treatment" don't need its certification (source), but Google requires LegitScript certification to advertise drug and alcohol addiction services (source). If one site covers both, plan the pages with that split in mind. And Google says HIPAA-regulated entities using Google Analytics "must refrain from exposing to Google any data that may be considered Protected Health Information (PHI)" (source). Ask how an agency tracks results without sending health data.
For how we run this work for programs, see our mental health marketing service.
Which agencies made the list, and what does each do well?
Cardinal Digital Marketing
Cardinal calls itself "a healthcare performance marketing agency focused on driving growth for multi-location provider groups," and it now runs as Power Digital's dedicated healthcare division (source).
Its mental health page says it has helped over 50 mental health providers and that it helped "the country’s largest mental health care provider scale digital marketing to 500+ locations." It lists SEO, PPC, Facebook ads, web design and reputation work, and says a full SEO strategy "may take up to six months" (source). It does not publish fees.
Best for: groups with many locations that want one large team for SEO and paid media.
Webserv
Webserv says it works "exclusively with addiction treatment and mental health facilities," has supported them since 2017, and is "Trusted by 200+ Treatment centers nationwide." It sells SEO and AEO next to paid media, and says it works inside your CRM, admissions workflows and call tracking (source).
It publishes a timeline: most rehab centers see organic traffic growth at 4 to 6 months and admissions impact at 6 to 9 months (source). On its own agency list, Webserv places itself in a tier that charges $8,000 to $20,000 a month for single-facility work (source).
Best for: programs that run both addiction and mental health care and want SEO tied to admissions data.
RehabAdmit
Disclosure: this is our agency. RehabAdmit markets mental health practices and programs. Some of our treatment center clients also run mental health programs next to addiction treatment, and we market those with the same team and reporting. We have not published results from a mental-health-only client.
SEO is part of a broader engagement with paid media and admissions work. We report cost per VOB and cost per admission by channel, not just rankings. Your site, Business Profiles, tracking numbers and data stay yours. We charge a flat monthly retainer of $5K to $25K, never per admission, with no minimum term. Our 90-day guarantee: if you don't see measurable admissions growth in 90 days, we keep working for free until you do. See our mental health demand generation page.
Where we do not fit: programs that want SEO alone at the lowest price, and anyone who needs published mental-health-only case results before signing.
Best for: established programs doing $3M to $30M a year that want SEO, paid media and intake reporting under one flat fee.
Lead to Recovery
Lead to Recovery says it has served behavioral health only since 2019 (source). Its mental health SEO page covers residential, outpatient and intensive programs, and reports that one Arizona mental health center with residential and IOP programs "grew admissions 61% year over year in its second year of SEO and PPC," while organic cost per admission fell 41% (source).
Its prices are public: Local SEO from $750 a month per location, Regional SEO from $1,500 a month and National SEO from $7,500 a month, each with a 90-day minimum (source).
Best for: programs that want to buy SEO alone at a known starting price.
Elev8
Elev8 describes itself as "a full-service behavioral health marketing and technology agency" whose clients are "addiction treatment centers, mental health programs, and eating disorder facilities" (source). It sells SEO, AEO and AI visibility as one service line (source).
Its mental health page shows a benchmark table built from its own client data: a $2,300 cost per admission for its clients against a $3,900 "industry avg" (source). Its tiers are priced as "Custom /month," with a 90-day initial commitment and then month-to-month (source).
Best for: programs that want one vendor for SEO, CRM, call tracking and referral programs.
Digital Admits
Digital Admits, based in Orange County, California, calls itself a marketing agency "For Addiction Treatment & Mental Health." It says it has "10,000+ admissions generated" and works month-to-month (source). Its SEO plans list at $1,470, $2,970 and $4,970 a month on monthly billing (source).
Its mental health case study covers Alter Behavioral Health, "A 48 bed mental health treatment center" with crisis, residential and IOP care. The page lists 213 total admits delivered and a $1,438 cost per admit (source).
Best for: mental health facilities that want SEO as the main channel without a long contract.
MGMT Digital
MGMT Digital calls itself "a boutique digital marketing agency that specializes in the behavioral healthcare industry," with offices in Los Angeles and Miami (source). It builds custom proposals for each client (source).
Its mental health page sells SEO and GEO and reports that one center saw "a 24% increase in homepage traffic from organic search" within six months, rising to 50% by the end of year one. It says it has helped clients rank #1 for terms such as "best anxiety residential treatment centers" (source).
Best for: residential mental health programs that want a smaller agency.
Healthcare Success
Healthcare Success, founded in 2006, works across healthcare, including health systems, hospitals and addiction treatment (source). Its mental health page calls it "a specialty marketing agency that helps mental health and behavioral health organizations grow," with sections on TMS and interventional psychiatry, telehealth and eating disorders (source).
It says it designs SEO and content "to perform in both traditional search and AI-driven discovery tools." The page asks you to request a proposal and lists no prices (source).
Best for: psychiatric, TMS and telehealth groups that want brand and SEO work from a large healthcare agency.
Behavioral Health Partners
Behavioral Health Partners, headquartered in Denver, says addiction treatment is its main focus and that it also serves mental health facilities and programs. It pairs marketing with consulting that runs "From feasibility study to financial modeling to state licensure to Joint Commission accreditation." It takes one client per level of care per market, offers 6-month and 12-month terms, and quotes pricing on the second call (source).
Its mental health SEO page says SEO for a mental health clinic differs from SEO for a therapist, and again from SEO for a rehab (source).
Best for: founders opening a mental health program who want consulting and SEO from one firm.
What if you are a solo therapist or small private practice?
On October 22, 2026, Google's first page for "mental health seo" opened with an AI Overview, then mostly guides and posts written for therapists, plus a Reddit thread from a therapist and one agency page for counselors. That tells you the search mostly serves solo practices, and the agencies above mostly serve programs.
Solo practices compete with directories. In a Chicago search for "therapist near me" we pulled in October 2026, Psychology Today held 3 of the top 9 organic results. For "EMDR therapist Chicago," independent practices took 4 of the top 9 spots, including #1. Specialty plus location is where a solo practice can win.
Agencies built for therapists exist. One is Mental Health Marketing, which says it has served mental health professionals since 2016, works only in mental health, sells SEO and has no long-term contracts (source).
What should you ask a mental health SEO agency before you sign?
- Can you show a result from a mental health program, not only an addiction center?
- How will you map pages to conditions and levels of care?
- How do you set up Business Profiles for the location and for each public-facing clinician?
- How do you track calls and forms without sending health data to Google Analytics?
- Do you report booked assessments and admissions, or only traffic and rankings?
- Who owns the site, the profiles and the tracking numbers if we part ways?
- What is the minimum term, and what is the price before ad spend?

Frequently asked questions
What is mental health SEO?
It is the work of getting a mental health practice or program found in Google, Google Maps and AI answers. For programs, Behavioral Health Partners says searches are organized "by condition first and level of care second" (source), so a program needs pages for each condition and level of care it treats.
How long does mental health SEO take to work?
Cardinal says a full SEO strategy "may take up to six months" (source). Webserv says most rehab centers see organic traffic growth at 4 to 6 months and admissions impact at 6 to 9 months (source).
How much does a mental health SEO agency cost?
Of the agencies here that publish prices, Lead to Recovery starts Local SEO at $750 a month per location (source), Digital Admits lists SEO plans from $1,470 to $4,970 a month (source), and Webserv places itself in an $8,000 to $20,000 a month tier (source). RehabAdmit charges a flat $5K to $25K a month for a broader engagement. Cardinal, Elev8, MGMT Digital, Healthcare Success and Behavioral Health Partners quote custom prices.
Is SEO for a treatment program different from SEO for a therapist?
Yes. Behavioral Health Partners says SEO for a mental health clinic "is different from SEO for a therapist, and different again from SEO for a rehab" (source). We manage practices to a booked first session and programs to a booked assessment or admission.
Do mental health programs need LegitScript certification?
LegitScript's checklist says locations that "only offer mental health treatment" don't need its certification (source). Google does require LegitScript certification to advertise drug and alcohol addiction services (source), so a co-occurring program that advertises addiction treatment on Google needs it. See our LegitScript guide.
Can a mental health site use Google Analytics?
Google says HIPAA-regulated entities using Google Analytics "must refrain from exposing to Google any data that may be considered Protected Health Information (PHI)" (source). Ask any agency how it tracks results without sending health data, and have counsel review the setup.
Should each clinician have a Google Business Profile?
Google's guidelines say that when several public-facing practitioners work at one location, "The organization should create a Business Profile for this location, separate from that of the practitioner" (source). Google also says departments that operate as distinct entities should have their own profile.
Does RehabAdmit have mental health SEO case studies?
No mental-health-only results are published. We have worked with renowned treatment centers with operations in Florida, California and Massachusetts, among other states, including residential addiction and mental health programs. See our case studies.
